We are thinking of going to 7 days Alaska Cruise either Northbound or Southbound but we are not sure which is the best month to go to avoid rain.

Can I see it while on an Alaska Cruise in September? Or is it seen mostly in-land?
I've seen Aurora in every month of the year in SE Alaska. Look North, after midnight on a clear night. Maybe you'll see it maybe you wont. Look for the aurora forecast here:
